Insurance and Pricing

Ascend Lactation is contracted with The Lactation Network (TLN), which works with several insurers. Once eligibility is verified, TLN will fully cover lactation consults at no cost to you. 

If you (or your baby) has an Aetna, United Healthcare, VA CCN, or Multiplan insurance plan, please follow the link above to fill out If you have coverage. You will pay nothing out of pocket (other than a possible travel fee for an out of range home visit) and the Lactation Network will bill your insurance plan directly. 

If your insurance plan works with the Lactation Network:

• Telehealth consults are fully covered.

• Most In-Home visits are fully covered. However, some may incur a small travel fee depending on your location. Please indicate your address and city in the contact form for further information.

Initial and follow up Lactation Network consults:

• Home visit averages 90 minutes

• Telehealth visit averages 60 minutes

Ascend Lactation is honored to have partnered with Tricare to become an in-network provider. 

Tricare beneficiaries are now eligible for 6 lactation visits at no cost to you. Covered visits include prenatal consultations, telehealth visits and in home visits. 

Dependents are eligible for care without a referral and may schedule directly online! Active Duty service members continue to need a referral for service. 

If you do not have a plan that is covered by TLN, a provider with Ascend Lactation will be happy to provide you with a Superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. A $50 deposit will be due with a credit card on file at the time of scheduling, and full payment will be due at the conclusion of the consultation. 

Visit Fees:

Initial Home Visit: $200

Follow Up Home Visit: $150

Telehealth Visit: $125

*If you have Medicaid/WIC, you may be eligible for a sliding scale discount.
